RHOD star Kameron Westcott says she’ll be in court later this month as her terminally ill father-in-law, Carl Westcott, continues his legal battle over the sale of his former $15 million Santa Barbara mansion to Katy Perry. The Bravo alum confirmed she will be present during Perry’s upcoming testimony — a move she says is aboutfighting for Carlafter years of legal back-and-forth.

“We want to face Katy Perry in court after all our family has been through. We’ll continue to fight for Carl. Not everyone who can carry a tune deserves an applause,Westcott said in a statement to Us Weekly.

Perry’s Testimony and Trial Details

The August 21 hearing will see Perry questioned by Carl’s legal team via Zoom. The pop star will be asked about allegedly renting the estate to actor Chris Pratt and whether she lived there with now-estranged husband Orlando Bloom. She’ll also face questions about her claims that millions in damages were done to the home before she moved in.

Carl’s lawsuit, filed in 2020, alleges he was impaired by prescribed pain medication when he agreed to sell the eight-bedroom, nine-bathroom property. Perry’s team has denied any wrongdoing, insisting Carl was lucid, participated in the deal, and engaged with other buyers. They’ve countered with their own $6 million suit, claiming costly repairs were needed after the sale.

RHOD Star’s Family Testimony and Witness List

Court documents reveal Carl’s son, Court Westcott, Kameron’s husband, will testify about the home’s condition and his father’s longstanding property upkeep habits. The filings state his testimony will also address the period after Carl moved into inpatient care for Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia.

Carl’s team had sought to call Orlando Bloom as a witness, but an August 1 court order denied the request, stating Westcott’s lawyers failed to show why Bloom’s testimony was essential. Perry’s legal team argued the request’s timing was “suspicious.”

While the pop star scored a legal victory nearly two years ago, gaining possession of the property, the fight over the circumstances of the sale — and who should pay for repairs — is far from over.

Kameron Westcott starred full-time on seasons two through five of “The Real Housewives of Dallas.”
