On this week’s podcast we spoke about the Mormon religion, and a Cocktailer sent in some of her experiences and I found them to be an interesting take on Utah, as we discuss Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Wanted to share with you all:

B and Amanda I’m listening to this weeks pod. I grew up in Utah and Wyoming and NOT Mormon. It used to be 20 years ago in Utah you couldn’t go to a bar unless you had a sponsor and paid a member fee basically to be able to go to that bar. The alcohol was also not full percentage so when my mom came for my wedding in Oregon and was drinking mimosas after 2 she was drunk because she was not used to alcohol being full percentage. But also Joseph Smith was a polygamist and Mormons believed to get into heaven you had to have multiple wives it wasn’t until Utah became a state the government said we will accept you if you cut out polygamy., so sister wives are basically FLDS fundamentalist but Amanda is correct there are different sects of the religion.
