B's Salami Bread

Lots of you requested! It’s super easy. I just use dough from supermarket or pizzeria. Frozen dough defrosted works best. Then thin layer of provolone thin layer of Genoa salami and/or sopressata. Really any meat and cheese you prefer. Simple and so delish. Key is thin dough and thin layer of salami and cheese.

  • baking sheet
  • Rolling Pin

Ingredients
  

  • butter
  • garlic
  • pizza dough Use any dough from the pizzeria or grocery store. If frozen - defrost before using.
  • salami
  • cheese
  • 1 egg
  • water
  • sesame seeds optional

Instructions
 

  • Stir together butter and garlic in bowl. Roll out bread dough on lightly floured surface to 12-inch square. Place on lightly greased baking sheet; brush with butter mixture.
  • Add a THIN layer of salami and cheese of choice down center of dough too to bottom.
  • Fold over. Pinch dough at bottom and top to seal.
  • Cover; let rise in warm place 30-45 minutes or until almost double in size. Combine egg and water in bowl; brush over bread. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.
  • While dough is rising, heat oven to 350°F.
  • Bake 25-35 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes and cut into slices.
