The new Southern Charmer and his “mommy” are known to be rude, pretentious, snobs among the Northern Virginia wineries. I was unfortunate enough to be seated near them at an event at an upscale vineyard (owned by a very wealthy family that also owns a few furniture stores in the area). They were snapping their fingers at the servers for extra pours, loudly making fun of another guest’s outfit (not fancy enough for them, I guess), the mother actually shouldered herself in front of me to go to the restroom at one point. This was a couple of years ago but we used to roll our eyes whenever they came in, long before he was on the show. It was a running joke amongst a few local wineries to text each other to warn the others if they were in the area.
