Carl makes so much sense of the entire situation. “Blindsided” is a strange word because even us who watched them on last season are not shocked by this. 100% team Carl.
I feel like Carl is Ross during that episode of friends when Rachel makes the first move. He knows he’s gonna be vindicated with the footage.
I’ve always been “team” Carl from the moment the wedding was called off. Didn’t believe the negative stuff about him that was being put out there. I wish he would have spoke out sooner. Why this man was being judged for calling off his own wedding has been ridiculous. It’s also his future.
Did anyone catch “I did not call up producers. I do not make those decisions.” Sounds like maybe Lindsay was pushing for it to be filmed knowing it would give her a better look.
Now THIS makes more sense
Nobody is judging Carl for calling off the wedding. But I get that his fans want to push that narrative. He’s being judged for how he did it. If it’s true that he did it in front of cameras that is pretty crappy. He could’ve done it prior to going that weekend.
I think two things can be true. Carl could have felt fundamentally things were wrong in their relationship while Lindsey knew there was, also, but feel blind sighted by him ultimately calling it quits.
I’m just not understanding why cameras were there, it’s hard to believe he didn’t set that up. Lindsay had no way of knowing he was going to break up with her because as he put it it wasn’t his plan. It’s hard to believe a version of this story in which Carl didn’t tell producers he was gonna have some big talk with Lindsay which at the very least would include him questioning the plan to get married.
Good for Carl! This was clearly the right decision for him.
Last season of summerhouse didn’t Lindsey already start drinking? Weren’t they already having fights? If that’s why you didn’t want to marry her why did you propose in the first place? It was going on before you proposed…
